Pain again

My dad is having pain again at the same area as last time, what could this mean? He says it hurts to get up and sit down constantly. Does this mean that there’s possibly new mets to the area? The pain started around 4-5 days ago. He said the pain is a bit better than the other days. I must add, he did some rigorous work in his garden around 4-5 days ago, which required a lot of bending and such. He’s assuming it’s from that, however, what are the odds it could be the cancer?

I couldn't find where he had the pain before - is it where his metastases are? It is only natural to attribute every ache and pain to the cancer. Sometimes it is. Sometimes it's not. Your dad's explanation sounds reasonable - why not take it?

His tumour was in the sacrum bone, which required radiation. It’s just that the pain is worse this week than before, which is why I’m concerned.

Having been where you are (also, with both parents), I learned that my concern over things that were outside of my control didn't do anyone any good. It did drive them and me close to crazy.

Yes I agree but if it is the cancer and a new met is forming it would be better to act on it right away rather than waiting and guessing

What action do you think should be taken? There will always be new metastases.

Your love and caring is dad blessing . Please don’t put too much pressure on your self to ( do everything) that you can . It’s the old saying. Dr it hurts when I do work hard in the garden . He should lay off for now. Please don’t predict Metz treated that are now painful as something new. He’s recovering and might need to rest more . ??? Pains without explanations are just par fore the course with APC . I would recommend a high thc oil for dad . I think that It helps me somehow to have less pain ?? I’m sorry he’s in this pain. Feeling helpless is the worst . I am sure that you comfort him ❤️

You could call his MO and see if the MO considers necessary to do any study. Our anecdotal opinions about what you father may have or not is not going to help you to calm your logical anxiety.

Best of luck!!.

I would like to get a serum bone specific alkaline phosphatase done. If the new reading comes equal or lower than last reading...I will not go for any further intervention and wait for this pain to subside in next 1 or 2 weeks.

I am having pain in an area where I had radiation and I can't decide if it's mets or arthritis.
