Has anyone had alcohol hit you like a ton of bricks while on Firmagon and docxatel? I had an incident earlier this week after drinking a relatively small amount of alcohol on the day of my firmagon injection.

Treatment and alcohol
I have, that's why I'm really careful with it. I had some PSA the other night to celebrate my current remission. (that's Prostate Specific Alcohol).
I think part of the problem is that alcohol can cause inflammation and I can feel every little pain in my body if I have more than a small amount. It's one of those self-critiquing things.
When it comes to alcohol, moderation is essential. I'm still going to enjoy it, but only in small amounts and usually only when I already feel good.
Well Sir? Please don’t do that again . Alcohol was my drug of choice for way too many of my college years extended. After APC I don’t like to drink except a small amount on very special occasions. I just don’t have a taste for it any more . I had one firmagon shot resulting in an undetectable PSA . Then I moved to Lupron then an orchiectomy . No t for me for over 5 years . Complete castration mode . Yahoo!
Docetaxel contains alcohol. You need to adjust your intake on the day you get it. (I don't believe in abstention.) Here, from the FDA:

Can’t stand the stuff anymore 😢😢😢
Haven't been drinking much in the past three + years since starting treatment (RP, ADT, Chemo), so when I do have a drink it hits me, even after the first taste. Sometimes, I just stop. During chemo (docetaxel + eligard) a small amount did hit me like a ton of bricks.
For me, alcohol and chemo don’t mix...In fact Life after an RP, radiation, ADT, etc and sex don’t mix either...FML
Thanks to everyone for your insight. I seem to be more "dizzy" to a lesser or greater amount even without alcohol since my last injection. Sometimes, dizzy isn't the right word. It is more "unsure" on my feet.
I did imbibe while getting docetaxel but sporadically since it seemed to contribute to the side effect of fatigue. Been off docetaxel for a couple months and even now a wild night is two glasses of wine. Let your body be your guide.
Drinking alcohol may cause memory loss. Or worse, memory loss....
