Has anyone tried 177Lutetium? I am interested in side effects, and progression free survival stats. I am thinking of trying this therapy

DunandDusted. Patrick-Turner on this site writes about his experiences with Lu 177 quite a bit.

Here's a discussion on LU-177 that I found very informative.

Many here have. Varying outcomes. It will be interesting to see the results odf the VISION trial. Try putting Lu 177 in the search bar

I had Lu 177 PSMA in 2016 at the Technical University of Munich. It was a painless treatment and the only side effects were fatigue lasting 1 day and some edema (they give a lot of liquids to drink and IV fluids) which resolved in 24 hours with a low dose of lasix. No problems with the salivary glands.

The side effects are related to the extension of the cancer. patients with large amount of bone metastases may develop some bone marrow problems. The outcome of the treatments are also related to the extension of the cancer and the amount of previous treatments. it seems Lu 177 PSMA may be more effective when done early and the cancer load is small.
