So I havent hit the lottery (yet). Havent figured out when the best fishing is. Havent got the darn cancer under control. Havent found a BLT like the one I had 5 years ago.
But I am sitting here on the deck, listening to the river, talking with 4 yr old grandson, enjoying a cup of chai.
Not half bad at all.

That's a precious life experience Brother. I had the same kind just yesterday my 3 year old Grandson who by the way adores his Popi was sitting with me in my Sunroom our favorite spot doing Peppa Pig impressions. Truth be told he does a much better version. These are the moments that all the meds we take are pale in comparison too. I also. Have a 5 year old Grandaughter and together they are my whole World. I asked my Doctor when diognosed almost three years ago all I wanted was to watch them grow up he promised me he would try his best so far so good. Never give up never surrender. Leo
I echo the sentiments on grandkids. Certainly the light of my life. 5 year old granddaughter, two grandsons at 3 and 1. Get to see them again when I go for the next CT scan in two weeks. Their presence certainly creates a reason for fighting on.
Sounds like the perfect life to me, we have at least one of my grandkids over every weekend. Special time for me, but the early morning time with just me and the pup are what i look forward to every day. She sleeps beside me while I check the web Love the quiet time
These are the moments we fight to live for. How beautiful when any of us who have the disease or take care of someone with the disease recognize a moment in life to savor. I too have two grandchildren whose eyes I'm using to see the world with renewed enthusiasm. Bless you, Maleko808!
Half bad is half good. I would give anything for the life I had 10 years ago. But it is what it is. I weathered all the storms. And now ... I laugh every day. Best of wishes.
