Found out Clinical trials at UCLA Jonson and Sloan Kettering researching Ga 68-labeled PSMA-11 cancer.gov/clinicaltrials/N... both charge 2800, and wont take insurance. Havent asked the others.

Charges for GA68-PSMA-11 trials
Medical tourism can be less expensive. Unfortunately the DCFPyL trial is no longer recruiting. Hopefully, Ga-68-PSMA-11 will be approved in about 9 months.
I don't think any insurance will pay for an unapproved treatment. However, $2,800 doesn't sound bad at all if that's the total cost for the treatment.

I lucked out and got it “ free” at UCSF in 2018. As TA said it should be FDA approved soon then insurance will cover it most likely at least Medicare.
I have done 4 PSMA PET-CT scans so far (in 18 months) and my 5th comes up on Saturday, 17th August.
Total cost per scan (all told) INR 30,000/- or USD 430/- This is in Bombay, India.
Dr. Fendler at UCLA explained to me that they charge $ 2800 for the Ga68 PSMA and they do not charge for the procedure. I paid $ 2800 before the Ga 68 PSMA was done at UCLA.
UCLA billed me by mistake a month later for the whole thing (Ga68 PSMA and the PET/CT). The total bill was around $ 14,000 and they deducted the $ 2800 I had already paid. Dr. Fendler talked with them and they did not bother me anymore. If this study gets approved and Medicare does not pay for it, it is going to cost much more than $ 2800.
