Its a big deal here in the UK today. 75yrs since the war was declared over.Normaly there would be street parties etc. but because of the virus we are having a 'social distancing' party from our OWN front gardens today at 4pm(the whole street will get involved ) to raise a glass..or two to all those brave men an women hat gave their lives, so we have the freedom that we all take for granted today. Things could have been totally different had we not won, but with help from all our allies we 'sorted them out'
Hoping you are all keeping safe and well, take care and CHEERS !

we will, some one has got a couple of massive speakers outside, Glen Miler and all those songs are blasting out. Unfortunately don't know the dancing , bit before out time. But plenty of food and drink!..
Thanks Scott, just taking a break from the celebrations for half an hour(food time) then back to it. The sun is shining hurrah. Its been nice to talk with our neighbours.
A sign of the times. All the more reason to celebrate after the fire is over .. God bless my friends in York .. Good days to Clint and wonderful Kim x❤️❤️❤️❤️
V E day.... I raise my glass and salute the British and all its allies (US included) who held out again the tyranny of the Third Reich. The London Blitz by the German air force, held back by British spitfires. And then the V2 rockets bombarding the mighty England, day and night. Thank God for the Normandy invasion and finally victory over Germany who surrendered on May 8, 1945. Another toast (with a tear) to all the military personnel that gave their lives for our freedom. May God hold them close to his/her heart for eternity...
