We are, as a species, so full of ourselves. We think we have conquered, in such a short span of time, the mysteries of the universe and nature that have had an unimaginable amount of time, to leg up on us!
At every corner we turn, we find a dozen different different roads to travel. Each without end. With every door we open and enter a room, we only find a dozen more doors to chose from and the one we just departed, a one way portal.
We think we know, what we don't. We fight because we can, but so does our opponent. When using strength, our opponent may appear weak, but that faint is just a deflection, a change of direction to allow for another angle of attack. We pause, and pose as we redirect ourselves, seeking a weakness to strike, and upon finding one, and committing, only discover it to be an entrapment. We brace ourselves waiting for the force of the blow while looking for an opening, to deliver an attack ourselves. Always scanning, searching, seeking an opening to invite victory, endlessly if need be, endlessly it seems, but endlessly it is.
We have developed as a species to where we are today, at this moment, through Millennia, and in our journey we have arrived here, now, in and at this place. Surely the journey has not ended, it shall continue, but we have not really arrived anywhere, nor have we conquered anything. We are awash in the infinite stream of momentary stops on the tick of a clock, each a step in movement, never ceasing, and never to be walked back on. Always forward endlessly...
But forward nonetheless...
As does our opponent!
Random thinking that needed words attached, based upon encountering some other thoughts by others, and intermixings along the way... A jumbled gaggle of thoughts

Wow Coolone. Spoken like one of the Great Philosophers of our Time. Your genetic makeup must descend from a Warrior Lineage. So good you thought to put pen to paper while your mind was there.Advanced PCa is so complex. There will be a cure. This will not go on forever. The Men of this site may have the combination of puzzle pieces that must come together.
Happy Birthday to the United States of America. 245 years old tomorrow! Happy 4th of July🇺🇸
Ah! We have another fine poet of unique yet universal voice in our company again. ( We lost one not long ago, you know.) Please continue. We thank you and are fed.
Cooolone..I mean Cool...One...Enjoyed reading your deep and meaningful post.
I also enjoyed it. Definitely one of the most erudite and reflective people I have come across. We have some fine writers and philosophers on this site. For me, I think it softens the blow.
As the base of man's knowledge has increased so has the speed at which new knowledge and technologies are acquired. In the time before the industrial revolution inventions were painstakingly brought to fruition.
New technologies--How have the new technologies enhanced the average human's abilities to solve problems, to think? Checking out at any store, when the total is rung up, before I proffer the bills to pay for my purchase, I often tell the cashier the amount of change I will receive as I hand over the bills. I usually get a look of wonderment. The rising generation has lived with a calculator or a phone that does everything for them. The cash register does the math for them. In high school I read the classics in Latin. I was fluent in French. Today's young people have difficulty with their own language. I am not a particularly religious man, however, the story of the Tower of Babel has some points that should be considered. Rules and consistency in language to convey the intended thought or message is essential. I feel it possible that the rapid advancement in technologies are a double edged sword with the capability of destroying our civilizations as we have known them.
We, as a species, have so much ego. I look at the massed humanity in our cities and then at the ants in my yard and see similarities. Is another species, superior to us watching us with the same thoughts? Our government is telling us it may be so. Michael Rennie and Rod Serling come to mind.
By the way--my neighbor had an exterminator for her ant problem. Her ants realized that the exterminator was a problem. The ants must have sent out scouts and solved it by moving across the fence to my yard which the scouts must have reported to be the land of milk and honey!
