I resent the fact that messages are edited by the staff of this blog.. I give a lot of thought and time in replying to posts only to have someone edit out content. It’s big brother at best a police state at worst. I guess free speech doesn’t apply here.

Wow. An Xtandi pioneer. I salute you. I'm behind you by a couple of years. 32 months now. I was deleted for giving info about survey site. Funny thing is ... I got the info from this site! From admin. Who did later delete their info. Conflict with their non-profit status? I have since made a little over $1,000 from doing interviews. Nice for someone on Social Security. Sorry poor people, I don't need competition. Google it. I am sure that Whimpy-p holds the record for being deleted, banned and blocked. But he is Tenacious D. Rize of the Fenix. He throws down every day.

I think Daryl does a pretty good job with some difficult people.

Edits are made to reduce spam, bigotry, hate and antagonism, words like f—k, political posts (though some relevant to cancer might stay), obvious snake oil (disinfectant does not cure prostate cancer) and slander. There’s a longer post pinned to the right on our policy. Of the thousands of posts and replies I read through every month, hardly any require editing. Thank you all for that!

In my opinion, it would be more ethical to delete the entire post instead of editing it.

I also think that some posters cross over the line into prescribing what another patient should or should not do with regard to treatments. I fiercely object to such malpractice unless the poster is an MD licensed to practice in the state or country where the patient resides.

Ours is too. Reported both wrongly and deliberately wrong. Disinfectants are used internally at times for certain conditions, so it is neither uncommon nor out of the question. People need to lighten up. Too many other things to worry about.

Because it is moderated, this site is incredibly helpful, supportive, and focused on the health of men with advanced prostate cancer. It is filled with information about peer-reviewed research most sites on our subject don't have. Many sites are moderated to keep the focus on whatever the subject is. Hats off to Darryl for reading through a whole lotta stuff every day and keeping us in our lanes so we don't have to wade through too many distracting off-topic comments.

Good to know. I don't think I've ever been edited or deleted. I do find the quality of this site and the usefulness of knowledge shared to be very high. It seems we good brothers (and sisters) at least have benevolent masters here.

Thank goodness someone with a more level head intervenes. I think I prefer it that way myself , I guess I vote on the side of intervention.
