and this last week I've been "feeling the burn"...LOL. The doctor kept saying it would get more and more tough. He says I am "doing GREAT"....so far.
Quite a bit of nausea and bloating and some pain. A bit MORE fatigue and weakness than with just Lupron and Xgeva and Xtandi ~~BUT, luckily NO BLOOD in my urine yet or any major G.I. issues(but I really have to watch eating any fiber or fried things)....
AND this Coronavirus is making every day going to the hospital another adventure. The staff seems to be all "tense" and stressed out. I was notified by the radiation clinic that someone had been in our waiting room on March 2nd that had tested positive for it...so I was suppose to self-monitor and stay away from people for 14 days...I made it through that hurdle unscathed. I do no think having the new virus would be good at this point.
My PSA ...done after about 10 sessions actually dropped half a point from 6.5 to 6.0 My oncologist had said to hope for "steady" and be prepared for a flare up...so I guess that was good news. My white cells and red cells and all that stuff are down a bit low due to the radiation...so still trying to be quarantined and very careful when leaving the house. Hope all out there are being EXTRA careful and smart and just staying in and avoiding people. If I was not in the throes of this radiation I would certainly not be going out every day like I see people doing.
All the Best,
gJohn
p.s. Photo....Just before the virus started getting bad here in Broward Country, FL...we went for a sundae to celebrate the start of the radiation treatments. It was delicious!

I have actually counted the # of doorknobs I have to open between here and there (4). I use the sleeve of my jacket to operate the knobs. I stay out of the elevators opting for the stairs. I dont touch handrails. I wash my hands when i get there, i gel in and out of the treatment room, wash my hands before I leave. and I wash my hands when I get home. I put my jacket in the wash.
Just a little OCD for me, but I am vertical!
Good luck with your remaining treatments. I hope they evict Pca from your system.
John - good to hear about your positive progress! Keep hanging in there. I'm stuck at home, as classes are canelled for... "a while," and even AP Exam are modified - usually a 3 hour exam - it will be abbrviated to 45 minutes, and kids can take it on line. Our reading will be done on-line, which will be a new expereince - usually, we met (for AP Lit) in Salt Lake, with hundreds of people in a large convention center, 7-8 at a table. Now, no way.
Sundae looked delicious. We have to have those little rewards along the way in order to keep going forward to the next step. I send my best thoughts and prayers to you.๐๐. Arlis
My pelvic radiation made it tough to โsitโ for about a month after it endedโ. I took hot baths with Epsom salts and lots of ibuprofen. I wish you continued success.
At least having a good zap. Itโs selective and proven to take out those Mets. Crossing my fingers for awesome results for you!
Fenbendazole which seems to be proven for some but mostly anecdotal has you on my radar as one of the group taking fenben. Are you still taking it and what are your comments on any benefit for you?
I am trying to get mebendazole OTC from friends travelling to Mexico but my friend who is just on way back today could not find any in Cabo. And my friend who found 100mg pills in Mexico City for under $1 did not want to bring back with him into Canada as his girlfriend is trying to get residency here and mebendazole is prescription so did not want any border issues.
Who knows when my next friend will be travelling to Mexico with Corona locking us in our countries.
John I have nausea often from the med Iโm on tak -700. But nothing like during and after finishing 8 weeks rt. Itโs a real mo fo bro . Hang in there !๐ค๐ฝ
