and this last week I've been "feeling the burn"...LOL. The doctor kept saying it would get more and more tough. He says I am "doing GREAT"....so far.
Quite a bit of nausea and bloating and some pain. A bit MORE fatigue and weakness than with just Lupron and Xgeva and Xtandi ~~BUT, luckily NO BLOOD in my urine yet or any major G.I. issues(but I really have to watch eating any fiber or fried things)....
AND this Coronavirus is making every day going to the hospital another adventure. The staff seems to be all "tense" and stressed out. I was notified by the radiation clinic that someone had been in our waiting room on March 2nd that had tested positive for it...so I was suppose to self-monitor and stay away from people for 14 days...I made it through that hurdle unscathed. I do no think having the new virus would be good at this point.
My PSA ...done after about 10 sessions actually dropped half a point from 6.5 to 6.0 My oncologist had said to hope for "steady" and be prepared for a flare up...so I guess that was good news. My white cells and red cells and all that stuff are down a bit low due to the radiation...so still trying to be quarantined and very careful when leaving the house. Hope all out there are being EXTRA careful and smart and just staying in and avoiding people. If I was not in the throes of this radiation I would certainly not be going out every day like I see people doing.
All the Best,
gJohn
p.s. Photo....Just before the virus started getting bad here in Broward Country, FL...we went for a sundae to celebrate the start of the radiation treatments. It was delicious!
