What does it mean and how is related to my PC or Lubron treatments ? I cut out all liquids at night . As you know its disrupting my sleep big time . Is there anything I can do about ? Thank for sharing your stories.

Hi Sun, I haven’t tried this yet, but my MO said to try Benadryl for sleep occasionally. She said it will give a good night sleep since it will slow urination.

Yep,Benadryl makes me sleep .. that’s cool news . Thanks doc ..

Have you talked to a urologist? An alpha-blocker (e.g., Rapaflo) may give you some relief.

My team suggested no caffeinated drinks after lunchtime. It seems to help.

If your like me it means that your not emptying your bladder , I’m on flomax. It helps but doesn’t always work as I usually end up getting up once a night. Talk to your urologist and see what he says

I think Larry may be onto something.

IF you don't empty properly / fully, you'll be doing what you're doing.

Worth checking out ....

My husband has the same problem and it's getting worse. He has tried Flomax to no avail. There are many drugs to "try".

Recently I have been showing him pictures of external catheter set ups. He is fighting it but we are supposed to receive some samples for sizing.

One of the night time rigs I saw had a smaller, earlier catch bag that drained down to a larger holding tank bag that could be hung on the bed. There was an easy to empty spout on the far end of the larger bag. This would seem a good set up for traveling as well, except perhaps going through airport screening. I was thinking of long road trips.

Another thing to try which helps with me is to put the feet up (higher than the heart) an hour or so before you go to bed. This helps the circulation and kidneys to drain excess fluid from the legs so you can have a really good pee before you get in bed.

My urology is so whacked out that I pee seven times per night and untold trips during the day . Hi ho hi ho it’s off to pee I go . This has been been me even before dx . The joke between my then girlfriend and lover “ how many times do you pee”? I Didn’t go to doc until I stopped peeing . Then a foley and tubes for a year and a half .. during that time with the tubes my only prayer was to pee again without brutal pain . Whoohoo I’m there ..so off to pee I go ... it does beat the alternative of not being able to pee at all . That is pure hell . Our urology takes a hit with pc and treatments . Good luck adjusting ..
