Help with next steps please

Hello all. My husband's scans from this week are not good showing mets moved to liver. We are awaiting blood counts later today. Contacted Germany who said liver mets may not be psma avid so trying to get a scan done . Husband has currently been on cabazetaxel as his cancer is progressing did DNA analysis with no major markers of any kind showing. Failed xtandi, zytiga, docetaxel. I know hospice is around the corner and we are also waiting phone calls on a couple of immunotherapy trials. My question is there anything left to try at this point? Our son graduates from high school in four months and my husband would like to be here for this. I'm reaching out to you guys because throughout this horror you have had so much better advice than the many doctors we have seen.

So sorry to read your message this morning. All the best to you. If liver mets are not PSMA-avid, don't you still want to try LU177 as much of the other cancer can be knocked down with the PSMA?

We would like to try it but Germany wants us to do psma test here first. Lu177 doesn't work unless you're psma avid .

Gotcha. I think you can get PSMA scan (theraputic) in Houston, Lincoln, NE and a few other places.

we are sending paperwork to Houston. had phone calls in to Madison Wisc and Indiapolis, but this is a horrid struggle. Doc in Germany offered to get us one at UCLA so that may be the route we have to take. very frustrating. thank you for your help. do you know where in NE or Lincoln?

I suggest you do both a PSMA PET scan and an FDG PET scan. You can do the FDG scan one day later.

Off label use Keytruda knocked the cancer down after cabizataxel and then attacked my husband's adrenal and thyroid glands. He's a different man after six months, stronger but not smarter.

Good news...and how's his drumming? (PS i'm on Keytruda for my lung melanoma and it's working so far).

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
