Bad news today. PSA jumped 16 pts since last month. Our MO called the study and they said some people have a delayed response but to do scans and blood work in February and if things don't improve he will be taken off the trial. The MO also said he suspects Mitch has a positive AR-V7 mutation. His other 4 patients on this study are responding. Lucky us damn it.

Update Proxalutamide Trial
That sucks. Fortunately, there are many other clinical trials out there.

Thank you. I try to keep him positive.
too bad- look into trials that are aiming to overcome resistance. Does he have a genetic profile report?
I hope Mitch is a late responder and that he will do well on this drug. Do you mind if I ask who your MO is?
This sounds like it may be the Hail Mary we need for my husband ASAP! However, his blood counts are very low, so he wouldn't qualify for the trial. I wonder if he could get the drug under "Right to Try"......
Suzkau Kintor Pharmaceutical (a Chinese company) is sponsoring the study. My husband goes to Brit Boleman in Greenville,SC and I believe there are about 10 other locations participating in the US. I don't know if it's available for Right to Try. I hope the best for you and your husband.
Thank you!
Another promising drug in clinical trial that might be a fit for my husband is ARV-110. It was recently fast tracked for mCRPC. I'm looking into this as well. :

This web site is SO helpful, thanks to all the posters!
You have an awesome oncologist!!! We desperately need a Hail Mary for my husband, so I contacted your oncologist last Friday to ask about this trial. I talked to Angie, who was so incredibly kind and she asked about my husband's full history/profile. Bottom line - they are trying to see if they can help!!
Yes my husband and I love Dr Boleman and his entire staff has always been kind, compassionate and knowledgeable to us. I hope you find the Hail Mary for your husband.
We won't stop fighting either!
I talked to him today - what a wonderful man! They were going to get the proxalutamide for my husband, but one thing prevents him from being in the trial, and, surprisingly, it's NOT his low blood counts - it's because he had 1 round of a different (2nd) chemo! !!! I also asked him about taking melatonin to help reduce the AR amplification (the reason the Zytiga failed), and he said, yes, this was brought up at an ASCO meeting, but then I think he said it wasn't proven - not studied in detail, or something like that? Anyway, he did say it can't hurt to take it. I just wrote a post about this. Maybe it could help your husband? Patrick posted something about melatonin and AR-V7, which I put a link to in my post. I wish the trials for Veyonda (Nox-66) would start here in the US asap! That's another treatment that sounds promising!
Thank you!
Yesterday our oncologist said darolutamide is very similar to proxalutamide. I wonder if you've heard the same?
Hugs and prayers for you, too, to find the magic bullet!!
