My brother recently experienced a spinal compression incident (between T5 and 6). This eventuated or perhaps more accurately, accelerated from two weeks earlier when he started to feel 'sluggishness' of leg movement to complete leg paralysis after he had 5 sessions of SBRT (total 20 Grays). Good movement until the third fraction after which the paralysis accelerated. His medical team has withdrawn all treatment other than palliative care. I am still exploring the Veyonda therapy that I raised under the posting Lutetium -177 Failure.
In recent days, he has started to have muscular twitches in both legs for some minutes. He tells me it is painful. The radiation team said inflammation from the SBRT would persist for up to 6 weeks (one week to go). Anyone have any experience that might be useful or insightful.
My brother obviously has to overcome the cancer first and foremost. If there is a chance he could regain some function in his legs, then the PCa battle is doubly worth fighting.
