So as most of us, I have been researching for a clinical trial that may work for my current situation. But yesterday was told that the little spot on my nose was diagnosed melanoma. Have not yet seen the doctor for treatment. Question, I am assuming this will make it much more difficult to get in to a trial? Always useful information here so thank you for your responses.

I don't know the answer to your question but I had a melanoma spot on my scalp 6 years ago. The surgeon cut it out and it was called melanoma in situ, meaning 1 spot all contained. Hopefully you will have that too.
It depends on the trial.
Don't know about trial acceptance but melanoma seems quite common among our group. Usually cut out and you may be free of it for a while. I've had two removed more than 35 years apart. I learned that BRCA2 mutation makes me 70% more likely so I am always on the watch to catch early. Some sites that are obvious to a good dermatologist didn't look like anything to me. Beware...
Maybe check with a genetic counselor.

I also was dx with melanoma, a freckle on my left nostril caught the attention of the PA for Snuffy Myers and she told me to get it checked out. When I did it was dx as melanoma. I underwent Mohs surgery for it which ended up being quite extensive all while going through chemo, not a fun time. Fortunately it turned out to be in situ so it hadn’t spread beneath the skin surface yet.
With it being on your nose be sure to get a highly qualified surgeon who specializes in Mohs surgery, it will likely involve some cosmetic reconstruction. Mine spread beyond the freckle even though you couldn’t see it with the naked eye so it was quite involved.
