Did you do Xtandi after Zytiga and now asking about going back to Zytiga? Were there any treatments in between such as chemo?

Yes that’s exactly what I’m asking and I have had taxotere in between.

It could work, but I would try to get a different androgen blocker as was suggested by Danielgreer. Nubeqa claims to work with AR mutations, but I haven't seen any evidence from trials. If you do Zytiga again, you could use Dexamethasone instead of Prednisone (see SWITCH trial).

Have you had molecular testing done on a tissue sample or a liquid biospy? You might have a treatable mutation.

I am AR negative and I have a Chek2 mutation.

🙏 thank you

My understanding is that Zytiga doesn’t work very well once you have been treated with Xtandi and vice versa but you should definitely check with your oncologist. There’s also some new drugs like Nubeqa and Erleada but not sure how they would work after Xtandi.

Why not another ADT drug i.e casodex.

My husband did a second round with Zytiga. This was after Taxotere (2 rounds which did not work for him. Xofigo (which was very successful) and a very brief time on Xtandi (he did not tolerate Xtandi). He benefited from it and it was effective for about 8 months. (First time w Zytigait was effective for 3.5 years.)

Curious, what symptoms made Xtandi intolerable fir your husband?

He said he felt like he was going to jump out of his skin. Considering he had done lupron, casodex, zytiga, taxotere and Xofigo without that feeling and there was no decrease in his PSA after a month, he and his dr. decided to change the treatment.

Greetings. Would you be able to tell us more info about the person that you are posting for? His age, location, psa and gleason scores, treatment center(s), doctor's name(s)? All info is voluntary but it helps us help him and helps us too. Thank you....
