I guess Dr. Weise is the radiation oncologist who did the brachytherapy. His recommendation probably had the intention to add ADT to the radiation, like in this study:
Presumably because, if you don't need it, don't take it. No point in hastening resistance.
No Canceros, gerat to hear you had a positive response. Did you have brachytherapy on the lymph nodes? Interesting to see how Germany seems to be leading the field in novel treatments. I'm likely to be heading to Frankfurt for IRE-CT in December. I'm hoping for a similarly impressive result!
Thanks ,well i had 23 sessions treatment with Lianac +Bicatulamide 150mg,i will follow up my PSA every 3 month I hope like every body here to be saved.
Magnus, I'm on 50 mg bicalutamide PLUS Lupron (4 mo) PLUS Avodart. I think my MO has decided I will now be "on" for the rest of our lives; my psa hangs about 0.3-0.4. I started as GS6, T3b, 22 yrs ago. I'm ok with it.
Magnus: I have to say that I've been lucky over the years. Other than some minor hot flashes early on from Lupron, I haven't had any issues. Of course, I did have a heart attack two years ago (age 81) that required triple bypass. But my dad died of heart attack at age 50, so I really can't blame the lupron. I have been fairly active-walking dogs and playing racquetball - and I think that did help. Have a good Thanksgiving
