One year later Chemo, ADT plus a host of other drugs. What did I do? I had sex with my Wife, took some imagination and hard work but I got the poor shrunken bastard to come out and perform lol

Dear Zetabow:

I think the wisdom here is, — Do the opposite of what you feel like doing...

My husband started treatment in May. The physical part of our relationship has been radically transformed. And, when he makes the effort (and I know it’s not easy) I feel loved, although nothing is the same, feeling loved is critical.

From a wife— good job!

Yes we talked this over when I was first diagnosed. My actual performance was a 3, effort was a 10, the most import thing is it helps keep the loving bond between us. Some days it's just cuddles in bed, sometimes it's more but NEVER nothing.

We keep the humor going as well, with my performance, we have too. lol

I love this. My wife calls it "Intense Wiener Therapy". The love between us has never been stronger.

I’m 54 and be married 30 years next week. We had a rocking sex life until PC, 2012. Prostate, both nerve bundles, seminal vesicles, and 30 lymph nodes removed. Tried Viagra, injections, pump, the little insert into the top of the unit, all were eventually a let down.

Had the pump put it 2 years ago and it was a good decision. Sure things have slowed down a lot but you can’t suppress 33 years of lust imho. I usually don’t have the motivation to have sex but once we start I can usually get into it pretty well. The device works well and we can both finish. We try for once a week because we are not willing to give up that part of our lives. And being in each other’s clutches and having that closeness keeps us close. Don’t give up. Get the prosthesis if you have to. It’s a game changer.

I have a relatively new girlfriend of about 5 months. Why she puts up with me, I will never know. She could go out with many many other fully functional men. But it certainly makes me love and appreciate her that much more. I put in 100% effort with some results, but I’m pretty sure she’s not using me for sex. Haha.

If my PC goes into remission and my function recovers more, I’m definitely asking her to marry me. The woman is an angel.

Nothing like a little Rogers and Hammerstein to lighten up the moment.

But personally, I would prefer “Freddie’s Dead” by Curtin Mayfield.
