**One year tomorrow**

Good day my Brothers, I had my one year appointment this morning and Doctor told me he couldn't be happier in the progress I've made in my treatments. It's been along year of rollercoaster emotions but I'm determined to not let this beast take over my life at least not for along time. My battle started a year ago tomorrow I was put on Zytiga,Prednisone, and ELIGARD with monthly Xgeva for multiple bone Mets. My PSA has been undetectable since first month and other than the usual side effects I feel pretty much normal. I had an MRI about a week ago which showed significant improvement to mets and lymph nodes in fact one enlarged lymph node is no longer viewable. I am eternally grateful to my Doctor and his staff for their compassion ,understanding and knowledge . I wish all of you the best life has to give and never give up never surrender. Leo

Congrats to you and best wishes for continued success! The more educated I get on this disease the less stress and more hope I feel.

Peace to you Brother!

Jim

Thanks Leo, I remember when you first came to HU.. sounds like you have a good relationship with your doctor.Lets keep kicking this APC can down the this bumpy road ... These internal battles can be overcome with some adjustment. This sure wasn’t plan A for any of us. But you and I are under the radar for now.. We must live healthier than ever and enjoy the love around us in the world. One year down with our friend pc , 20 more to go...Keep rolling amigo..

Great to hear. Wishing you continued success.

I had been on the same protocol, which did control my PSA for 6 months, but now starting to rise. I am BRCA2+ and have now started on Olaparib, PARP inhibitor. Also will be starting on Provenge shortly. Hitting it hard.

In an earlier post you had said you possibly were considering Provenge. Are you still? I have heard a good amount of positive stories, especially if it is used sooner than later.

Good one. Favorite program as youngster. Robert Stack was an idol. Brought to mind his hilarious role in Airplane. Good movie to re-watch on a rainy day. Harriet Nelson was worth a laugh. But, I wander. Good news leo2634. My 2 years is March 3. Original expiration in 6 months. That ain't happening. Enjoy.

That’s fantastic news! I am on a similar protocol with a similar presentation as you, and I am celebrating 6 months on March 10th. This post gives me hope. Thanks and keep up the good work. Peace.

Thanks it seems to be the drug of choice lately. My next step is Provenge Immunotherapy but my Doctor said I'm responding to the ADT so well he wants to stay the course for a few more months.
