Talapro 2 phase 3 clinical trial

Anyone else on this trial? One month in and my PSA dropped from 14.7 to 1.1. Worst side effect is fatigue but that's a given. Curious if others here are on same trial and what they are experiencing.

Does your cancer have mutations such as BRCA, ATM, or other homologous recombination repair alterations such as : Check1, Check, 2, Bard 1 etc?

Parp inhibitors could work for a while in cancers with these mutations.

Seems to me they should give dna screening tests as soon as you are diagnosed Stage IV. Maybe I'm wrong, as usual. Costs less than one Xgeva injection. I had to ask. Was given blood test that screened for 30 hereditary genes prostate and colon cancer. Certainly not the in depth screening that requires prostate or tumor biopsy. I don't even know what my testosterone level is. Maybe that's ok. One less thing to worry about.

They studied your genes. They have to study the genes of the cancer or somatic genome. They could do it with tissue from metastases or with a liquid biopsy, looking for circulating tumor cells or circulating free tumor DNA. Liquids biopsies have a better yield if the PSA is around 10 or higher and there are bone metastases.

Best of luck.!!

That’s a great result .. Congrats !I am one of only a few lucky fellows that are are still on a test adt drug tak-700 Thats now defunct . I get thoroughly tested tri-monthly and scans annually all paid for by test plus drug is free.. It’s been good so far for me . Keep rolling ..😎

I'm BRCA2, and in a similar Pfizer trial. Talazoparib (PARP i) + Avelumab (CHECKPOINT i). for about 6 months now. Scans show disease progression appears to be stopped, the AlkPhos dropped to 83. but PSA is not budging, staying at around 18-21. Can't figure what to make of the PSA.

Worst side effect has been anemia.

Greatly appreciate your input on the trial. Please keep me posted if you do not mind.

Dont mind at all. Had blood draw today for trial. PSA down to .6. Everything else in margins except B12, but most likely due to supplement. Also eye on alkaline phosphate as its elevated. MO is not worried yet. Will do scans on 14th.

Again thank you for your input. Can you tell me specifically what allowed you to qualify. My main biomarker is the loss of PTEN.
