Not sure about Des Moines but my advice would be to get in to where ever they are doing the PSMA scans at a research facility in Iowa.

I checked a while back and they would only accept people for the scans if they were being treated by a doctor at the facility. Go onto the clinical trial website and search for PSMA scans under prostate cancer in Iowa. I know it's working backwards but might benefit you in the future.

I would also suggest going to the Mayo ( I know it’s a drive) and see if you can see Dr. Kwon. He is aggressive is his approach which I like, and you have the medical might of the Mayo behind you.

We were unable to get an appt with Dr. Kwon during the four months we were staying in Minnesota even though we had previously been seen by him.

They couldn't schedule beyond so many months out so you may need to plan way ahead. Business might drop off in the cold months, though.

I guess there's not too many 15 minute consultations open in a day.... Well keep looking for another one... or Hold the lettuce and try the Mayo....

Have you checked out Urology cancer center in Omaha? Gucancer.com. They are only clinic in US 100% committed to Urologic cancer. Speaking with them they have patients from around the World come. Last week when I was there patient from New Mexico came to have Dr. Nordquist treat him. They are doing some of the first in World treatments. Light years ahead of UNMC and Mayo. Trust me best decision of your life. Amazing man.
