Vegetarian diet is the way to go. If you have to have something more than fruits and vegetables add fish. Domestic animals are pumped full of hormones to make them grow bigger, fatter, faster. Not good for a hormone sensitive cancer.
Karmaji, I think all the things you mention are wonderful, and I agree diet is important, partly because of direct benefits and partly because it gives us a sense of control. Summarizing what I've read and researched, I'd say almost all vegetables and fruits have anti-cancer properties, so a wide range of fresh fruit & veg. is good, with whole grains, nuts seeds, beans, legumes. Some research shows cooked tomatoes are specifically good at preventing or delaying PC, also ground flaxseed. Evidence about fish is unclear (too many types) but on balance, in moderation, good. At least one study found an element in eggs and chicken skin (choline) promotes PC cell growth, so I avoid those foods. There are beneficial elements in red wine but similar things can be found in berries, without the alcohol. But, as you say, 'Sharing together as family . . .' is very important, enjoyment and engagement (there's research about that, too!) Enjoy your food, and thanks for posting.
