It seems well established now that checking tumor material for what chemo might impact it, does work. In the 1990's I was running a Whole Health Study group in NYC and we heard from Bill Fair, the former head of Urology at Memorial Sloan Kettering. He was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer and the first thing is (friends) team did, was to test his tumor. All the while telling regular patients that this didn't work! Ovarian cancer groups have long supported this idea and the work.
For metastatic prostate cancer I would look into Modified citrus pectin (AKA PectaSol). A substance KNOWN via many studies in cell culture and men with prostate cancer, to slow or kill mets cells.
He is outstanding I highly recommend cancer under control for 5 yrs after receiving 1 Year prognosis from other doctor. Attention to detail is strongest factor ensures corresponding issues are addressed. I moved to another state but maintained him as my doctor
