In 2009 we finally found the PC and radiation treatments in early 2010 drove the PSA below 1. In April 2018 I had DVTs following a long flight and used my bicycle for exercise -- and then had a bike accident, fracturing my pelvis. Healing was slow and in August 2018 a physical medicine physician asked the question, could the PC have returned, slowing the healing. A PSA confirmed its return and a clinical trial looking at PSMA mapped out metastatic cancer most notably in my left hip. I'm currently on dicalutimide and Lupron (PSA dropped from 5.9 to 2.4) and scheduled for a return visit with my oncologist on Friday to discuss Zytiga (and prednisone?). I have a checkered history with prednisone -- anger issue. An added complication is osteoporosis also diagnosed (-2.7) recently and a recurrence of plantar facitis in the left foot and a complicated root canal this past Monday. Tired today but soldiering on. Glad to have found this community this afternoon while roaming the Internet. Thanks, guys, as you have given me much to ask my oncologist about on Friday.

The prednisone given with Zytiga is only enough to replace what the Zytiga takes away. If properly dosed, it should not have any side effects.
