New Chapter: Xofigo!

I received my first injection of Xofigo on 032019. Four days later, it seems to be a no impact event. I have not experienced any of the listed possible side effects. Still working on the ranch despite the bone mets. I hope the Xofigo will provide some relief from pain in one hip. I think Xtandi took care of the rib pain I had. Last two measures showed my PSA stalled at 26. Hopefully the Xofigo will help to drive it back to undetectable. Meanwhile I will continue with the ranch work in a cautious manner and enjoy Spring 2019. Sunshine and flowers to you all!

This might be a good time to add Provenge, if you haven't already had it. The dead cancer cells killed by the Xofigo create a target for the T cells.

Does the Xofigo typically cause the psa to go down? My husband just had his 4th, but psa keeps rising. The thought is maybe it’s from the dead psa in the bloodstream, does that make sense? Could this be true? I thought the psa would go down. By the way, he has had very little side effects and is expected to get 6.

it could be. It's always a good idea to check what happened radiographically and not just PSA.

Shepard may have already taken Provenge back in late 2017 ? (I'm not aware of anyone who has tried a re-challenge.)
