While we all fight this horrible disease, remember to enjoy the good times as they come along!

We have to enjoy those good times. I have become more aware of the daily gifts. Enjoying the crashing of waves, the pleasure of a good walk, laughing with a friend. Last night my wife and I enjoyed a lovely dinner under the stars and after dinner we just lingered for 45 minutes enjoying one another's company and conversation. It was magical. I like those moments more than ever.

Cancer has a tendency to take over our lives. I know there is not a waking moment I am not aware of it in one way or another. That is all the more reason to appreciate all the good things in life - friends and family who may have come closer because of our disease; lovely sunsets (beautiful one tonight!), corny jokes and quiet times with your loved one. There is still much in life to be thankful for.

I was stepping off a curb to cross the street in the Broadway area of Manhattan when i had to step back to avoid being struck by a Mercedes turning the corner with Mr. Day-ooooo driving. I sure wanted to tally his bananas.
