Has anyone experienced having TIA's while on Casodex/Lupron? He has only had one shot of Lupron. Just took my husband to emergency room today after experiencing this.

Lupron Side Effects?
TIA is not listed as a side effect of Lupron on the prescribing information, but this has been reasearched and there does seem to be an association, at least according to one study.
I did. Only once, after 11 months on Lupron & Apalutamide (not Casodex). Started to veer off-balance while walking on level ground. Docs couldn't explain, but later on, I was led to understand that persons with high blood pressure or heart concerns may want to do Firmagon (antagonist) instead of Lupron (agonist).
What gregg57 said. Lupron is known to raise the risk of cardiovascular incidents and stroke, but TIA isn't well studied. Still, Lupron clearly affects both heart and brain.
For me, it was BP. After years of textbook readings, when I started Lurpon my BP went to dangerously high levels. I started BP meds (the medical spiral, take one drug, then take two or three more to counteract the effects of that one, repeat) and got the BP under control.
Then I stopped taking Lupron, and 3 months later my BP fell so low I needed to adjust the meds.
With those sorts of effects, having some patients react badly, to the point of TIA, is certainly possible.
FCoffey: Do you recall what bp meds you were on? Mine just aren't doing the job. thanks
