Yes, I took it for 6 months last year starting about this time. My biggest side effect was the insidious onset of fatigue. Took a nap every day and the "energizer bunny" was down to a slow walk but no nausea. They preloaded me with steroids(decadron on the first day of each round and a smaller dose the second and third days. Felt fine until the 3rd day off when I had a bit of steroid let-down. My white blood cell count fell too low a few times so we just put off treatment for a week until it recovered.
It was worth it however since my prostate cancer had morphed into a hybrid with mostly Small Cell cancer and it was in the lining of my left lung. I had a significant pleural effusion requiring an indwelling catheter.
In August the fluid dried up and the cancer stopped growing. I have been on a treatment "holiday" since August except for Lupron and Enzalutamide. The chemo pretty much tied us down and I didn't feel like traveling until a month after chemo stopped. Since then I have made up for lost time and even got back to fishing.
Thank you so very much for sharing! I just got started with this on Monday. Great that your cancer stopped growing! I've been in slow motion mode before starting this so am hoping it doesn't slow me even more. If I slow any more my caregiver may start poking me with a sharp stick.
I just came off a trial that didn't work at all for me but it whacked my platelet count down to 21 plus it irritated my lungs. So I've been on a vacation recovering from the trial.
Bought one of those Total Gym rigs and plan to force myself no matter how tired to do the full routine on it daily.
Thank you again so much for sharing!
Take Care & Good Luck with the fishing!

Monty,
Read your profile. You had a more aggressive cancer than I did but after 23 years of treatment mine finally decided to change cell types.
We are all so individual about our responses to these drugs but I will hope you get through the new treatment well.
Keep active as you are trying to do.
Bob
