Question for BIRM users...any effect on platelet count?

Have you noticed any effect BIRM has had on your platelet count?

Reason I'm asking is I'm considering giving BIRM a try as I'm now on a PC med vacation due to a recent steep drop in my platelet count...until my platelet count gets back into the normal range. (255 on 4 Jan and 21 on 15 Jan). Although I would like to try BIRM, I can't chance it if it could lower my already much too low platelet count.

(Eating tons of papaya now, even though I know diet doesn't have any effect. Ha.)

I'm thinking that if any...BIRM would have had increased your platelet count, but I need to be sure.

Thank you for any experiences you BIRM users could share regarding this.

Take Care,

Monty

Your platelet count is 21? That's pretty low. Mine dropped significantly when I started taking a lot of IP6 a couple of years ago. Vitamin C and K are great platelet boosters as well as many foods. I ordered Birm once but will have to sell a couple of my kids to maintain a monthly supply of it.

Best wishes.

Thanks ITCandy. Yep, it is much too low. Will definitely stay away from IP6...thank you much for sharing your experience with that.

If your kids are teenages I doubt if you'll get a lot for them (especially if they're snowflakes).

Why do you feel BIRM is so expensive? $80.00 for 2 months supply doesn't seem that bad compaired to $45.00 a month for CBD hemp. Maybe both are nothing more than snake oil.

I would only get the 7x concentrate @$126 USD which is likely $200 CDN landed cost.

I got back into drinking lots of Chaga tea daily, which is also a BRM and regulates the immune system and has a pretty good history behind it.

Have not seen a 7X offered. I buy one that 2cc twice as day.

I use to spend near 300 a month on CBD

I've been using BIRM for only 6 weeks...had two blood tests...Platelet count has gone from 285 to 297. I don't think that means much...mine was good before starting...

Wishing you the best of luck,

John

John,

Do you use the standard strength BIRM, not the 7x?

Monty

Just using the standard. I've been feeling amazing compared to before starting....but I just got my latest PSA...since starting BIRM it's gone from appx. O.89 to 1.13 and now to 1.52.

Not sure how to interpret that.

My last axumin pet scan just after starting BIRM was greatly improved and now I'm scheduled already for another one. That will be the deciding factor.

I am also getting Foundation One gene mapping of cancer soon.

No problem...I checked it out and didn't find anything that indicated it may lower one's platelet count. Thank you.

My husband's platelet count dropped precipitously. He was encouraged by the oncology staff to drink skim milk as it helps to increase the platelet count someway. Now it is running 90-105, which is a whole lot better than it was.

Thank you oldemill. I'll try skim milk too.

Just an update...

My platelet count is now 400+. I can't say for sure if it had anything to do with the increase but I've been supplementing with papaya leaf extract. My MO was very surprised.

That's fantastic! Where did you get your papaya leaf extract, what brand? I've been looking for it here, but Whole Foods and another store that carries a lot of different herbs, extracts, etc doesn't carry it.

Not what you're looking for?
