A little over a month ago, the specialty pharmacy services that dispensed Zytiga offered a generic option. I went ahead and accept it. Just received a billing statement from my Medicare supplement (AARP United Healthcare) and they show a 30% price drop for this generic. Got me to thinking, should I shop for lower price? Googling the generic AA costs indicated that they average around $3k-$5K for a month’s supply. I have been blessed that in the past 8 month on the real Zytiga I have not had to pay out of pocket due to Medicare and a generous co-pay help from PAN foundation. Should I switch from US BioServices? Thanks.
