Hi Guys
Quick question ... which is a better PET scan ...18F flourine, or Gallium 68.
I haven't been able to make head nor tail of Dr Google's answers to my question.
Thanks and cheers

I had Gallium PSMA PET/CTs, MRIs and a 18F flourine PSMA PET/CT. The difference is very small and in most cases, the written report done by the RO will state the same result. The PSMA PET/MRI is a bit better than a CT so I prefer that. I think the RO analysing the images makes more difference than the tracer.
They are about equal for bone mets only, but the NaF18 PET does NOT pick up lymph node or visceral mets.
Thanks Tall_Allen.... I have to see what's available in Adelaide, South Australia.
Whichever one is the least expensive.
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
