Holiday is over

After enjoying an Eligard holiday since April first my last .1 result was in July. Since then it jumped to .54, 1.34, and now 2.70. My tests have been 6 weeks apart. I will get the PET scan next with the tracer. I hope the scan tells us more. I know my numbers are low, but the doubling and velocity worries me. After the scan I will see my Oncologist recommendation. Thanks for reading.

If you can get a PSMA PET/CT you would see the reason for the rise in the PSA value. Maybe you can have that lesion radiated. This should result in a longer PSA doubling time and thus in a longer holiday. At least it did for me.

I am certainly interested in the scan result and how we plan the attack. Hopefully it is something that can be radiated, that would be the best scenario. I already had 38 to my pelvic months after my RP, so we can’t go back there. Thank you for your response!

hi whatsinaname, almost through 1st week of chemo? Hope your SE aren't to bad. Next 2 weeks should be way better. And then you start it all over.

Thanks very much, monte1111, for remembering about my chemo and responding. Very kind of you, indeed. I am frankly overwhelmed.

Yes, today in a few hours, I will have completed 7 days after my first ever

session of chemotherapy. So far, I must say, it was not too bad at all.

Except for overall weakness and debilitating pain (for about an hour, not too much) I have been feeling reasonably good.

Hopefully, as you say, the next 2 weeks should be better. Thank you again, monte1111, for your thoughtfulness.

Not what you're looking for?
