Hi 65-year-old male, diagnosed 1 year ago, 4/12 cores G6, upon second pathology opinion one core upgraded to 3+4 <5%. Genomic score less than favorable chose to have HDR BT, which I completed last February. 3 month PSA was 1.3 down form 5.7. Feeling great no real side effects.

I was treated successfully with HDR brachytherapy. In my experience, the PSA bounced around a lot, going from 0.8 to 1.8 over a year after treatment. It took five years to settle down to a low value and seven years before all "bounces" stopped. Paradoxically, taking a long time to reach nadir is associated with greater effectiveness.

Here's hoping that your treatment was as effective as mine.
