Link is blank - no abstract. I've never seen a study that shows a survival benefit for oligometastatic therapy of any kind. If you find the paper, please let me know.

You are confusing two different things.
The first study is about metastasis-directed therapy AFTER RP - there is NO evidence of a survival benefit:

The second study is about debulking USING RP after metastases have been discovered. which you can read about here:

The evidence is weak because of the inherent selection bias in the way they did it - those who were debulked were chosen for the therapy because their doctors thought they were better candidates. For both kinds of therapies, randomized trials are ongoing to see if they accomplish anything.
