Age 61, diagnosed at 55 and had Proton radiation. Recurred last year in Jan 2017 and had IRE and Cryo as a last ditch attempt to halt progression. Unfortunately it has not worked, had some scans last week that show lymph node involvement and mets to my spine. I am devastated as is my wife, not looking forward to what comes next. I'll try to make the best of it but its tough to take tis news.

Sorry for the advance. It may mean more battling, but you’ll handle it.

were you on lupron ? did it fail? if not there is a lot of years left from what i have seen on here. ADT + lupron is about 6 to 7 years progression free according to the latest trial results.

Good Saturday Morning kmack57,

I have been in this battle for almost six years (please see bio for complete treatment history).

You have many treatment options but you need to be under the care of a Medical Oncologist who specializes in your disease. Aggressive cancer requires aggressive treatment and quality of care matters.

Best wishes. Never Give In.

Kevin sorry to hear about this bad news. I've been thinking about you since I saw this post yesterday.

I am not very good with words but just know that my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Hi, I know that every persons cancer is unique to them but my husband and you sound to me that you are about at the same stage.? Last summer Sams cancer came back with a vengeance, chemo, radiation.Zytiga and Xtandi failed him. Sam is now on a clinicial trial drug called cometriq.the dr. just reduced the strength of the dosage do to the rough side effects. We go back in a month to the oncologist to see if the drug is working for him at this dosage.

I know how you and your wife are feeling, right now I'm a wreck. It's a nasty disease and so scary.

Keep us posted as to how you are doing and never give up faith and hope. Remember you are not alone and we are all here for you.

Well wishes and prayers coming your way. 🙏🏻

Hugs to you and your wife, sincerely, Lynn Pa.
