Get tested for MSI-Hi .... Keytruda approved for MSI-Hi gene defects in prostate cancer or any other solid tumor cancer with overall 78%

Some gene testing does not include MSI-Hi testing -- my first gene test did not include it even though it tested for 50 plus defects.

Great news! The percentage of cancer patients that will benefit is small (4%) and the percentage with prostate cancer is even smaller, but the absolute numbers of people are large - 15-20 thousand patients per year in the U.S. That's a lot of people who will potentially experience significant remissions. The numbers quoted above are from the Reuters article.

Cancer treatment is still very much a one step at a time process. Find something for one slice of patients, then another, then another, then another, and pretty soon we're talking real progress.

Treatments seem like a big crap shoot. Luck of the random draw. But luckily, there are more and more options every day. Fascinating reads on Keytruda.

As per my previous posts... I'm being treated for a lung melanoma with Keytruda... and it's working... (but not for my Pca)

Good Luck and Good Health.
