I've been on Xandi for 8 months with little side effects and PSA dropping to below 0. However the last two-three months I don't want to get off the couch, like I had bad flu, don't want to eat, back ached, etc. Didn't think fatigue could be this bad. My question is: could this be from something other than Xtandi? Does it work to take a vacation? I am worn out going to the store with my wife.
Most of you guys haven't seemed to have trouble, or does it get worse with time? Thanks for your input.

Except for arthritis pretty good. Worked out regularly at the Y. Age 76. Open heart three years ago. Heart check up yesterday, no problems. Gleason 7, psa 35.
Lupron for years. Zometa 6 months. Lisinopril and atorvastatin. Legs also weak and insomnia.
5 mo. for Xtandi to turn me into complete invalid at full 160 mg dose. Cut dose and was better, cut again and started to have a life. Final cut to 3 pills Sunday and 2 pills all other days of the week and I suffer from periferal neuropothy from chemo, but new normal is tolerable and life is good.
Discussed QOL with my wife and decide life wasn't worth living as it was.Called pharmacist friend and he told me that with the class 3 and 4 side effects i was suffering from, I should just stop Xtandi and after recovery start with much lower dose-- like 80 MG, cut to what I could stand and ended up at 86 mg average. Told drs. what it was doing to me and received answer "I didn't know it could do that to you" I showed them the complete disclosure sheet instead of the patient disclosure sheet to back up what I told them and they agreed that the toxicity I was suffering wasn't worth the benefits I was getting from the meds. So 86 mg it is for me. Holding PSA steady.
Like you had massive fatigue till cut the dose to 80 mg from 160mg. Some drugs potentiate Xtandi and in my case I was on Plavix which is known to cause
increasing the level.Despite my low dose it sent my psa from 7 to nil in 6 months. There appears to be very little awareness that some drugs increase the level of Xandi. I am sure at 160 mg it was much higher actual dose as I rarely get drug side effects.
I have been on it for a month. Just started the back pain and TIRED. I best thing I can say is try to push yourself to do things. You may feel better. I also make a point to do projects or work on something every day, but I am retired. Swimming helps, that is if the rain ever stops. Good luck! Fight hard
