Next week my MO is having me do a test through a pilot program with Guardant Health to possibly identify cancer mutations in my blood stream. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with these tests. Dave

Yes they come to your house and draw some blood. 7-10 days later you can retrieve results from your MED ONCOLOGIST. My fathers showed only 1 treatable mutation.
Mine test serum was taken at MO office and results showed no known mutations. I asked the doctor if that is a good thing to have no mutations and he said not really.
Good Monday Morning Hairlessness,
I have been in this battle for almost six years (please see bio for complete treatment history).
In that time, I have had 4 Guardant360 liquid biopsies. All it requires is 2 vials of blood and then sent to their lab.
Several weeks later the report details any genetic defects in your cancer. Some genetic defects have treatment options and some do not. Your cancer will mutate over time and defects will change.
My 3rd test revealed an ATM defect which enabled Dr. Snuffy Myers to prescribe Lynparza, a PARP inhibitor. I got about 12 months from Lynparza.
Best wishes. Never Give In.
