So I have been riding a bike for about 63 years now. But today I had a first. There is still a fair amount of snow on the ground around Ann Arbor. I've been riding recently - I have 215 miles on the bike so far this year. But today I had a first time experience. I was near the end of a 13 mile ride, riding down a dirt road not far from home and a pickup truck passed me going the other way. Apparently it hit a big, deep pothole filled with water. My entire left side was totally soaked with ice water and mud. My left ear felt like it had tiny ice particles in it.
But the surprising reaction was that I actually in a perverted way enjoyed it. Life is perhaps more the unexpected than the planned. Enjoy!
Stage 4 diagnosis in 2012. Unexpectedly seem to be in a, perhaps temporary, remission since external beam radiation and 26 months of ADT. No idea why. Take it one day at a time.
