Hello all, just stopping by to say hello! I haven't been on for a while because our lives have been topsy-turvy most recently.
My husband has been battling excruciating Boney Pain. We have tried several modalities and combinations of pain management. (Seems like within the last 24 hours we are reaching therapeutic levels- fingers crossed)
Oncologist orders a PET scan, done Monday, and we are scheduled to see Radiologist 3/9/18. Plan may be radiation. We'll soon find out.
Regards to all the Care Givers who are working relentlessly in bringing comfort and support to our loved ones. From both ends of the spectrum, it isn't easy. Let's hold on to faith, optimism or what ever else fuel our engines. We are all in this together.
To the Newbies, you are in the right forum to seek knowledge as well as support. Don't be afraid to ask questions, I find people are knowledgeable here. Don't become overwhelmed by information! One day at a time....💚🙏🏽💚

Is radium 223 (oxfigo) for bone mets & bone pain available for your husband? It was a great help with bone pain & for a time with the progression for my husband. My prayers for you & your husband. I believe Care Givers are given a Special Strength💓 & Special Courage Given for loved ones fighting this mean disease
Thank You....Well we see Radiologist next Friday, God’s willing. We shall see what the options are. Thanks for this bit of information.
I do agree, about the strength given to us. I often say: “Lord it’s my Husabnd, son, daughter, my 84 years old mom, and our dog Emelio, who rely on me!!!! I can’t be tired 😳😀!!!
Please read up on radium 223 so you will be informed meeting radiologist. They may tell you only for pain ( and may say pain not bad enough yet/ be aware of that) also- not all radiologist & oncologist up to date with radium 223 (oxfigo)
Most definitely will, I thank you again for sharing. I like to be an informed Consumer.
Cheers!
You are in the thick of it.. nothing easy for any of us.. Keep the love flowing to him. There is a therapy called the primordial, scream . Put a pillow over your mouth and let it rip.. it feels great... they teach that in anger management..
