Dear brothers and a few sisters on this platform I greet you. Also, happy holidays to each and every one of you. If you are like me, then you have enjoyed the support, the advice, the wisdom and networking from this platform. In the last few days, some of the posts that I have read have been a bit gloomy, but that is our sad reality; also, it is the truth about our dangerous disease. That said, let's all find a little bit of time to be happy, to enjoy, and have some fun. Let's keep up fighting this beast of a disease, at the same time let's smile, enjoy some good food, enjoy our relatives, for we are still here!
Let's cheer up; a bit: Dear brothers... - Advanced Prostate...

Every day is a reason to celebrate. Never miss a chance to out or go on a trip. Making life one big adventure. This stuff may kill me but not my spirit
We should celebrate we are alive everyday and even more during this time of the year. I don't believe most members want this forum to be a cheerleading place anytime of the year.
Amen to that ! Hope you had a great holiday
yessiree brother. We have QOL posts to share uplifting members experiences and foodie posts as well. Look for QOL in the post name and posts by Randy , dockam ( already posted to this ) ….. he’s kinda the master of ceremonies in the QOL department.
Understandably, the are some members here too much in angst to relate, that’s why we put QOL in the header , so they can pass by the happy posts.
The very basic nature of a stage4 group is filled with members in pain , fear and death … real gloomy stuff for sure. Many ( most ? ) members like to see some pleasant uplifting posts for balance.
❤️❤️❤️
Well said, easy to get wrapped in the negative. Fortunately we have some excellent QOL posters on this forum. We may not all have grand QOL experiences, but we all have those that we are eternally grateful for.
As William Wallace says in Braveheart, “Every man dies, but not every man really lives.”
Pain, suffering and sorrow are elements in everyone's lives, but so are joy, love, satisfaction and contentment. Wheneve possible, I (and many others) endeavor to focus on the later
kanka, thank you for this good advise, the last few days I have felt crushed but snapping out of it with your reminder … thank you ❤️

Nothing like a little empathy.
Despite my frustration and unhappiness with the lack of tolerable therapy, I still love to share stories over beers with my good friends every other week, and more often with couples with my wife with dinner and beer and wine. The alcohol isn't necessary but is a good social lubricant for us. We never get sad (cry in our beers). I look forward to all these times.
