Anyone familiar with nitazoxanide?
Hi , I read about this yesterday too in a newspaper here in Kenya - my husband diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in January this year, so also interested to hear if anyone else has heard anything about this....
Jlcwonderboy started a thread a week ago - it was fairly active. Search on "Tapeworm".

Niclosamide is a similar drug and has several clinical trials ongoing. Here is one with abiraterone clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show...
There are others just search "niclosamide" looks like something worth trying for us m-crpc patients
Mebendezole, another anti-parasitic drug, is widely used in Costa Rica to treat PC. Anecdotally, I took it for thirty days right after I progressed to mCRPC and have had a good five years since. This was before starting abiraterone.
PC may not be a parasite, but it has many attributes of one.
I believe many elements of an effective mCRPC treatment come from creatively considering all the ways you can attack cancer, and combining many of them. Snuffy. A medical oncologist, helped me avoid harmful interactions.
Hai Bob, Am interested in your comment about Mebendazole and how it is used In Costa Rica. I am CRPC. Did you say you were on it and lasted five years before you moved on to Abiraterone. This is very interesting. Hope you can clarify and what possible harmful interactions can develop from using this drug. Am currently on Ketoconazole after failing Zoladex.
Rassu, there is s clinic in London called Care Oncology. They use Mebendazole amongst other off label medications to treat cancer. Doxycycline is another one widely used by them.
Rassu,
I am assuming you are still on zolodex with your Keotoconazole/HC. When we did Keto back in the day it was nessecary to do it with an acetic beverage like coke to increase the acidity of the stomach to help keto be absorbed, are you doing this? There is a paper on this if you need it. There is also a paper on increased time to progression when adding dutasteride to ketoconazole, that paper is in the New England Journal of Medine Taplin et al. Let me know if you need these peer reviewed studies
