I read a few years back that they where doing research on a tapeworm drug to fight colon and prostate cancer. No human clinical trails, just petri dish experiments. In Norway did they get to do mice or rat experiments?

I see that my post of yesterday never made it. Still showing the spinning wheel of death. Anyway, not much to add:

Nitazoxanide: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitaz...
My title: "First, you'll need a Tapeworm ...." (How could you be refused treatment?)

Hmmm. Where can I get a tapeworm. Mable my dog has a contact.
We should know shortly...Nalakrats killed and ate a raw pig to get tapeworm

Will it stop me from eating? Maybe a good way to lose weight!
I purchased/downloaded the original paper. Some of their results were generated using human cells in a petri dish, while others are from studies with mice.
This reminds me of the anti fungal/ anti- parasite drug called intraconazole.

Here's a current clinical trial
First of all you must measure the results using a tapeworm.

This study has interested me greatly, I am currently contacting prostate cancer specialists to see if this drug would have severe side effects with long term use and if it would negatively interact with medication like Zoladex and Zytiga. If not it may be worth trying it out!
If you don't have heart failure or liver impairment, ask your medical doctor about Intraconazole. See Patrick's citations above.

my Oncologist wouldn’t let me try this medication. 😟 he was concerned about the interaction between Zytiga and the Intraconazole. 👍
Clarifying: It is itraconazole, formerly heavily marketed as Sporanox for toenail fungus and other fungal infections like aspergillosis. It disappeared from the market after the patent ran out and is hard to find. Its activity is not related to androgen activity (like ketaconazole). Rather it blocks the "Hedgehog signaling pathway" as detailed in Phytocopia's link. (Jokesters should have fun with the Hedgehog pathway.)
