They just now identified the protein, now they are trying to develop a drug

Unfortunately "if we have to wait" is not always an option. But, we do all need to leave no stone unturned. We are all hoping for the best.

This is just a PR statement. No drug, nor the specific protein target, is even named so you can't research what has been learned and published so far.

It seems that they have a compound, but they are not alone in this field.

There are others working on IKK inhibitors but they have run up against problems with toxicity and other side effects.

Finding a new drug that works in a different way to traditional ADT is a holy grail of prostate cancer research.

It is possible, maybe even probable, that there is something out there but it may be found after more or less time.
