Great news! There are about 18 beta-blockers on the market in America. These medications fall into 5 categories on how they affect or block the sympathetic nervous system as well. So now we need to know which medication may work the best to reduce metastatic tumor growth. We can fight this disease with one piece of information at a time! Thank you Gus.

Metaprolol is a good Beta Blocker...a lot of the life extension people take it because it slows the heart rate

Yes. It is often used to treat high blood pressure but I take it to help prevent atrial fibrillation. Interesting to know that his class of drugs may have been helping to prevent the spread of my prostate cancer. You learn something every day. Thanks Gus.

Very recent European research challenges the finding that beta blockers assist in PCa therapy!!

I think the jury is still out. I have read most of the research.
