I've been on 50 mg of Vyvanse for a few months. My doctor recently added 10mg of ritalin when the vyvanse starts dulling. I only take adhd meds when I work.

I'm having a lot of bak pain and muscle pain on days I take the meds. Sometimes my whole body hurts. Anyone else have a similar experience.

No, haven't had that reaction and I've been on the combo (vyvanse + ritalin) that you are on. Haven't seen others report body pain either.

Tell your provider ASAP.

Only take Vyvanse, 20-30 mg daily. For the first 3 -6 months when started it 3 years ago. I had similar symptoms of muscle and back pain. It finally resolved when I developed a daily exercise routine. With exercising daily (cardio 45 -60 minutes) and making myself take some brief breaks while working to move/stretch and likely my body adapting to the meds, the pain went away. I originally joined this group to see if others had similar symptoms and the posts that recommended exercise worked for me. I hope you can find a solution.

my partner gets headaches and I get shoulder/neck pain. Tubular meds can dehydrate you, so drink more liquids and see if that helps.

I haven’t had this, but I agree with the hydration thing. I periodically eat very low carb, and that often gives me similar aches at the beginning. I also have that kind of pain when if I go off Wellbutrin and go back on later.

But I would say don’t just use water alone. Use something with electrolytes, like pedialyte or Gatorade zero or the powders you can add to water. Some people also find magnesium supplementation helpful for aches and pains. I tend to use magnesium glycinate because it seems to be a good balance of affordable, effect, and low likelihood of gastric side effects.

(Also of course keep your doctor posted about side effects like these).
