Productivity and promotion

I'm trying to improve my home and work balance with my adhd and treatment. I don't know what to do about there being a "optimal" time per job/task and I'm all over the place with how long it takes me. I get all tasks/jobs done in the time required but unfortunately they grade you on for promotion or salary increase on how long each individual task takes you not overall. Every task is typically around 1 hour and 15 minutes. So me doing one task in 30-40 minutes then the next one in 1 hour and 50 is hurting my grade/score and I don't know what to do or ask

Hello curious whether your employer knows about your ADHD? On the one hand it opens the door for a proactive employer to provide accomodations on the other it could be used to discriminate. The only thing specifically to say is that in my experience pushing yourself to make a target which doesnt suit your ADHD over time will lead to burnout. GL

If your employer knows about this, then the individual times taken per task should be recognized also. BTW taking shorter or longer to do a task is normal. You are only thinking you have to meet the average - but "average" doesn't mean everyone does each task in the same time period.

As far as results, you have to decide whether it's ok to not get the pay rise/ promotion. If you really need it financially then you need to make sure you are treated fairly.

I’d talk to HR. It seems odd (and demoralizing) to be meeting expected time completion for each task but still be told cumulatively that it’s not good enough. Plus unless they capture these #s on the job, performance anxiety could contribute to failing rates which don’t capture how well the employee actually performs. While I appreciate the need for efficiency in some lines of work, I’m more of a quality over quantity kind of person and can’t stand those checklist type rules that the powers that be make up as I feel it often compromises quality

ps what type of job do you do? Get that time is $, but sometimes whoever came up with these evaluation systems need to re-evaluate their metrics if they want to grow and avoid unintentionally discriminating against certain groups of people.
