Thank you for the invitation  Graciemaks … at the end of what has been one of the toughest years of my life, I appreciate this opportunity to reflect on what I am most grateful for. As many people will likely say, I am grateful for my two beautiful, loving, empathetic, sensitive and thriving children. Despite the upheaval and heartbreak of a marriage coming to an end, they remain my guiding light and I simply would not be here if it weren’t for them.

Wishing you continued love and support from your family and friends. These relationships are really what life is all about.

I am grateful for being alive, for being sober (I'm in sobriety for 32 years), for feeling my feelings, for my good health (I'm not bed bound, using a wheel chair or walker, not on oxygen), can move my fingers, toes, hands, etc. I'm grateful I'm not living on a garbage heap like some poor folks in India with no plumbing, electricity, or air conditioners or heat as needed. I am not better than those people; we are all children of God. I'm grateful I'm not in a war torn country, having lost loved ones without a roof over my head, and having plenty of food to eat. I'm grateful I can think, love, and easily express myself. I'm grateful for my friends and relatives. I'm grateful for all my past experiences which help mold me into the person I am today. I can go on, and on. I have so many things to be grateful for; the sun, the moon, the stars, animals, the ocean, etc. I'm grateful I'm living in this time period in history and not in the Dark Ages. I'm grateful for what I had, what was taken away and what is left. <3
