Well, it depends on what you mean by "narcissism".

As humans go, we are all at least a bit self-interested. Some people seem only to be a little bit so while others are that way most of the time, and the majority of people seem to vary depending on the situation.

But there's also a "Narcissistic Personality Disorder" (NPD, which is related to Borderline Personality Disorder/BPD). But I'm sure that you don't mean that.

From a self-care and self-image perspective, it can be very good to "Do I for yourself".

But sometimes other people (who, mind you, are also self-interested) are too quick to throw out the accusation that "You're only interested in yourself".

• Maybe if they were a little more interested in you and a little less interested in themselves, then you wouldn't have to put so much effort into thinking of your own needs. 😉
