ASMR?

After reading a thread here about different things to help with sleep issues, I thought I'd throw this out there. ASMR is something I've watched on YouTube for quite a few years, when I'm trying to fall asleep. I guess I've trained my brain with it, because lately I can start watching/listening to the video and within about 15 minutes, I'm out like a light. Doesn't mean I won't wake up at 2 AM, and sometimes that's it - I can't get back to sleep again. But Just wanted to recommend ASMR. And if you're not familiar with it, please don't get weirded out by the first couple of videos you watch - there are SO many different types of ASMR and it takes time to find what works for you - for me, it never used to be the human voice at all, just things like scratching sounds or sweeping sounds, or a combination of different "triggers" - but now I actually have found some ASMRtists whose voice I find incredibly calming and soothing. Preferences change over time I guess. Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there - ASMR may be more worthwhile to neurodiverse folks for the "tingles" which I do still sometimes get, but mostly for me, it is about a very soothing way sans drugs to get to sleep. And sometimes when i wake in the middle of the night, I will remember to get back on the computer/phone for another video - works like a charm, but again, I've trained my brain to respond. Who knew?
