My wife and I just started using mint by intuit for budgeting. Seems legit so far. It categorizes your spending, I've liked that feature.

Uh ... you're asking about two of the most difficult subjects people with ADHD face. There are no secret tips other than to get on the path--the path to reading, stealing tips, therapy, coaching, meds, trial and error and so on ...

See this as a process. You don't fix money and time management by "next week." If you read through this board, you'll find a lot of tips and heartfelt stories about people managing things better.

I'll just share one tip. In some ways I had to retrain my body to keep up with some details. I just got an important letter some issues I'm dealing with for my sister, who suffered a bad stroke. Well I got a great news letter for allowing me to do some things ... I kept that letter in the mailbox and as soon as I got my printer working, I scanned it. I don't want to lose that letter, which would be a major setback to managing things for my sister.

Well I scanned the letter and stored it on my computer ... well I back up my computer using multiple programs and usb drives .... so now this important letter is backed up ... online ... and I can find it .. . anytime on computer or phone ... Well I let to let my worry ... about misplacing the letter bother me into action ... I first had to get scared about losing it--pay attention to that fear ... and then back up the letter ... that took a lot of time to do that ... that's a result of years of working on not losing documents.

Just get started. You're here ... read and get started ...
